So it’s a dog eat dog world, and someone’s got to be on top, and someone’s got to be on bottom right?
And depression helps that hierarchy because depressed people can’t function in certain respects so they should be left out of the hierarchy or relinquished only to certain roles.
And people need to compete for success and depressed people should be less successful because they’re miserable and shit.
But wait depression can inspire creative thinking and critical thinking causing people to become geniuses, experts, and leaders. Or just boring different people.
High functioning depressives are indistinguishable from “normal” people or outdo them. And low functioning depressives are still capable of achievement.
So you can compete as a depressed person and know that society should recognize you even if you have a mental health condition. Maybe you’ll fit into a hierarchy or network, or maybe you’ll break the mold.
